Second Home have been lucky enough to get a (virtual) seat at the RTS Midlands Awards 2021. This year we have racked up 3 nominations in 3 categories, all of which are the first for each of these projects. Our RTS nominations include:
Stop-motion and 2D animated internal comms explainer for Grass Roots, a cooperative for family run farms across the USA. The aim of the video is to help share the brand’s story and spread awareness of their important work and values. Our goal was to develop a hand-made, crafted style that aligned perfectly with the natural aesthetic of Grass Roots, to help convey the love and care they put into their work.
Cardbot provides animated greetings cards that keep people connected whilst supporting charities and creatives together. We commission independent artists to create our cards, and all of our charities are sourced via Work For Good; a charity donations platform enabling us to legally support a range of great causes. Cardbot is a project which continues to develop.
Defend Digital Me tasked our team with producing a 2D animated video; aiming to raise awareness about their reporting work and its importance. This non-profit organisation seeks to protect children by campaigning for less invasive uses of the data collected throughout their education. We set out to create a video that explains in a clear and accessible way how the lack of transparency regarding the way in which personal information is gathered and used infringes upon children’s rights to privacy and consent.
