Tweedy & Fluff Receives BAFTA TV Nomination – 2025
We’re incredibly proud to share that Tweedy & Fluff has received an EE BAFTA TV nomination. It is a huge moment for everyone who has poured care, craft and imagination into the series.

Storytelling That Resonates With Children and Parents
From the outset, Tweedy & Fluff was conceived as a celebration of tactile storytelling: characters you can almost feel, worlds built by hand, and performances shaped frame by frame. Developed and produced by Second Home Studios and Stitchy Feet, the series brings together classic stop-motion techniques with a contemporary sense of warmth, humour and emotional literacy, designed specifically for younger audiences.
The BAFTA nomination is a meaningful recognition not just of the finished episodes, but of the values behind them. Tweedy & Fluff champions gentleness, curiosity and connection, themes that resonate deeply with children and parents alike. It’s storytelling that trusts small moments, quiet reactions and the expressive potential of physical materials.

Across our Instagram channel and wider studio work, we often share glimpses of the process: puppet tests, miniature builds, and the joyful problem-solving that comes with stop-motion production. Tweedy & Fluff embodies that ethos fully. It is a project where design and performance evolved together through collaboration between writer and director, animators, modelmakers and studio crew both on the floor and in the edit suite.
For an independent studio, a BAFTA nomination is both an honour and a powerful encouragement. It reinforces our belief that handcrafted animation still matters, and that audiences, especially young ones, respond to authenticity and care.

We’d like to thank the entire Tweedy & Fluff team, our partners and supporters, and of course British Academy of Film and Television Arts for recognising the work. We can’t wait to continue Tweedy & Fluff’s journey, and to keep telling small stories with a big heart.
Tweedy & Fluff is written and created by Corrinne Averiss, directed by Chris Randall and produced by Martin Tapley.
You can catch Tweedy & Fluff, weekdays at 7am on Channel 5’s Milkshake! Or on demand service My5.
